Transwestern Investment Group hires new Chief Investment Officer

DALLAS, TX — Real estate investment advisor Transwestern Investment Group has hired industry veteran Gary Jaye as executive managing director and chief investment officer.

In her new role, Jaye will lead TIG’s global investments, including the Transwestern Strategic Partners Fund Series and various segregated accounts. He will also lead a team of national investment professionals.

Jaye joins TIG from CBRE Investment Management, where he most recently served as Head of Logistics for the Americas. In her role at CBRE, Jaye was responsible for sourcing, underwriting, trading, due diligence, closing and logistics asset management. He was also responsible for managing CBRE’s business transactions for the Americas and for the core investment platform in the United States.

Throughout his career, Jaye has made over $22 billion in direct investments and over $7 billion in structured transactions, joint ventures and development projects.

“TIG continues to expand both its market presence and its investor relations, which requires a careful understanding of real estate market fundamentals, capital markets and the overall investment environment,” said Charles Hazen, president of TIG. “Gary has an exceptional track record of finding investment opportunities, building capital and nurturing relationships with investors, advisors and developers. Our team and the investors we serve will benefit greatly from his experience and insight, and we are very pleased to welcome him to Transwestern.

Jaye will help lead the Transwestern Strategic Partners Fund III, for which TIG raised $325 million. The fund will seek diversified, value-added investment and development opportunities in US markets that are driven by strong job growth and global supply chains.

“Transwestern Investment Group is a well-respected brand with a strong collaborative culture, and its market-leading returns speak for themselves,” says Jaye. “As part of an integrated, full-service commercial real estate organization, there is tremendous opportunity to expand our geographic reach and further diversify our relationships with institutional investors. I look forward to supporting and accelerating the great work being done at TIG.

Jaye is a member of ICSC and NAIOP. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Central Connecticut State University and an MBA from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.
