A former Magic Circle lawyer is one of four litigation practitioners to join the funder in New York and London. Third-party funder Therium Capital Management has recruited four litigators as investment managers for its transatlantic investment group. New recruits will cooperate with the investment team on files at all stages of the financing process. New York-based Corey Banks joined Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz where he spent five years managing a range of funded litigation, including alleged breach of contract, competition law and insolvency. He notably advised the defense in the antitrust and tax litigation Oklahoma Firefighters Pension and Retirement System against Amazon.com. Prior to joining Wachtell, he had a brief stint at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
